This is a fantastic stand-alone book. Kameron Hurley’s book presents an entirely new universe than anything I’ve read or heard about. Everything is biological, instead of technology or machines. Planets devour other planets, people, weapons, and organic aircraft, and the planet grows them.
A planet capable of changing position enters the area, and competing factions, or families, are trying to take it over. I don’t remember what the overall plot is. The story is centered around one character who’s trying to enter the planet. This character has a sort of romance with a girl who is also their captor.
It’s a very worthwhile read. Great for exploration of a completely new and strange universe. I don’t remember enough, or maybe didn’t understand it the first time, I’d be interested to read it again.
